Caribbean Peanut Punch

July 6, 2015
The ultimate drink packed with total peanut butter flavor. The perfect replenisher.

Caribbean Peanut Punch

Every time I think about making peanut punch, I have visions of my Dad sitting at the dinner table with his glass full of punch. Sipping and swirling.

When you get some of this drink you would understand why he was in heaven while slurping this down. It is a frothy, creamy drink with a bunch of peanut butter.

For us, it was the ultimate drink after playing in the hot sun all day. Peanut punch is good for you too and it is a great supplement for the body

This is a "no work" drink. It's a very basic recipe. But has numerous possibilities.

Caribbean Peanut Punch Ingredients

Peanut punch is a popular street food/drink also. Don't be surprised to see a "Punch Man" on the side of the road. Or even see signs saying "punch sold here".

With some of the stores you're able to get a plain punch or a punch on steroids. Punch on steroids basically has upped the ante on this basic recipe.

There are so many options you can add to the basic base mix.

What are the benefits of peanut butter?

1. Peanut butter is loaded with potassium and is a great way to counteract the excessive intake of sodium.

Potassium balances out negative effects our body may be having with sodium

2. It is rich in fiber. Great to help with the digestive system.

3. It contributes to better heart health.

4. It aids in weight loss. Yess. Being high in healthy fats, means you are less likely to look for snacks.

Peanut butter also has piceatannol which helps the body prevent immature fat cells growing into mature ones.

Yes for peanut butter!!

This is a simple pour, blend and serve recipe that you will love.

Caribbean Peanut Punch

You can use any type of peanut butter, smooth or crunchy. I much prefer crunchy as I like to have a few chunks of peanuts when I'm drinking.

You can also use any milk you prefer. I used whole milk for that creamier mix, but you can also use skim or 2%.

Caribbean Peanut Punch

Upping the ante on this mix can include adding oats and bananas. This makes the punch thicker and very much can turn into a meal.

I remember buying from a punch man one time and the drink lasted me all day. I was chewing chunks of banana, and oats.

And there are so many other punches: beets, pumpkin. I even make a Guinness punch

It was yummy.
