Easy Cheese Scones

So you would see in my previous post about the Silicone Baking Sheets that I made some cheese scones to test them out. This recipe is an easy 1...2...3 process. Well actually about a 4..5..6 but it really doesn't feel much like it.

I love cheese. So please understand that I may have put waaaaay more cheese than you really need to put in these scones.

Cheese Scones

Ingredients
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 3 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Brown sugar
  • 4 tbsp Margarine
  • 2/3 cup Milk
  • 1 egg (well beaten)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 tsp Dry Mustard
  • 1 pinch Cayenne pepper
  • 3/4 cup Grated Cheese
Cooking Directions
  1. Set oven to 400F
  2. Combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar
  3. Cut fat into mixture until crumbly
  4. Mix together eggs, vanilla, milk into try ingredients until soft dough is formed.
  5. Place on lightly floured surface and knead gently
  6. Roll out to desired thickness (pat down if needed)
  7. Place on ungreased baking try, and brush with milk or egg white
  8. Bake for 15 - 20 mins
