FoodTruck Pile Up @ Plantation Park

Have you ever been to a Food Truck Pile Up? If no then you are surely missing out. I went to my first pile up about 3 years back and I wasn't ever the same. If you don't know "food truck pile ups" are basically a group of food trucks meeting up at a designated time for a period of time. The trucks can range from american, to italian, to cupcakes to ice cream treats. And this one was no different

On Tuesday evenings at Heritage Park in Plantation this meeting of the food starts at 6.30 pm and goes until 9.30 p.m. It is a very family oriented event which works great for the kids and the dogs that accompany their families. There's even a movie area for families to sit and watch kid friendly movies.

And the crowds were out to try all the foods. Some trucks lines are way longer than others.

After walking around for a bit and looking at all of the offerings we decided to first try some tacos and quesadillas. And Taco Fresh did not disappoint.

After enjoying that we needed a drink, so we headed over to Keurig to join the line of people trying to get samples of their new iced teas and coffees.

Then there was Top Fries. Oh Em Gee. These are fries topped with amazing-ness of different dressings. We decided to try the Mojito fries which had a citric juice with mojito and green goodness. I stopped paying attention after he gave it to me. It was SOOO good!!

And to finish off this feast fest we had to have a little dessert.

An gelato bar from Hip Pop. You choose your pop, choose your dip and then choose your popping. I got pistachio gelato in white chocolate with sprinkles. Deliciousness!!

I headed back to Keurig to get a cup to go and headed home a happy, full camper.

I really love going outside and sampling food and meeting people who do the same.

What's your favorite street food? or festival food?

  1. I love food trucks! The trend went crazy a couple of years ago here, in San Francisco. There some concentrations like that called Off the Grid. The food is fantastic, but the lines are looooong. Those shrimp tacos are calling my name!

    1. Girl, those shrimp tacos were GREAT!! Everyone is always worried about seafood at a pile up but it's always good to me. That's the one thing I hate though is the lines...

      Thanks for stopping by!
